Uniform Consultation and Review 2026
Our review work around our uniform continues over the course of this half term, we will keep families updated as this progresses. At present, there will be no notable change to the County uniform for September 2026. Please see the uniform list link below for full details.
Why we have a uniform
Students at County wear their uniform correctly, smartly and with pride, knowing that in this small act they demonstrate humility to their peers, recognising that they are all an equal part of the school, and that others’ health, happiness, and success is as important as their own.
What our uniform represents
Our uniform is formal and traditional, reflecting the value we place on providing a calm, stable and ordered environment in which children learn best.
The green in our school tie represents our place in the Surrey Hills, an environment of which we are proud.
Celebration and sanction around our uniform
Students tell us that they feel frustrated when their peers do not live up to our exacting standards around uniform and, for this reason, all adults in the school will remind students when these expectations are not met.
We make a point of celebrating students when they wear their uniform correctly, smartly and with pride. Where a student tries to accentuate their individual difference in their wearing of it, we will ask them to make corrections. In the rare instances where students do not, sanctions may be issued, ranging from confiscations of non-uniform wear to detentions.
Like mobile phones, incorrect items of uniform will be confiscated, and parents will be asked to collect them at a mutually convenient time. We accept no responsibility for the loss or damage of any items of value brought onto the school site.
If you have concerns about the cost of any new uniform, please contact your child’s tutor.
Lost Property
Please label everything – we are unable to provide a comprehensive lost and found service and expect your children to take ownership if they lose their possessions. We cannot be held responsible for items lost or damaged on the school site.
Second Hand Uniform Sales
The Friends of 乐播传媒视频 hold three Second Hand Uniform sales per year - one each term. The sales take place on a Saturday afternoon in the concert hall. We are grateful to our generous school community for donating clean, good condition uniform items that their young people have grown out of to sell at our very popular sales. We send out a request for uniform in the 3-4 weeks before a sale and our prices are advertised in advance with cash and card taken at the sales. Second Hand Uniform sales are a great way to recycle uniform items and raise money for the school. All money raised goes directly to fund school projects and purchases that benefit the school community.
To purchase County branded and other uniform items, please visit Stevensons. You are also able to purchase appropriate non-branded items from other retailers. Please refer to the School and PE uniform lists for guidance.

| Jumpers and Coats | Jumpers should be plain Navy – no logos/branding Coats may be worn outside during break and lunchtime but should not be worn in the school buildings.
Not allowed – Hoodies, denim or tracksuit jackets.

| Badges | Students may wear a few, professionally produced badges that express something meaningful about their personal identity.
Badges that are presented to students by the school are allowed.

| Jewellery | Students may wear plain gold or silver studs (no hoops) in the lobes of their ears.
Students may wear a watch.
Students may be asked to remove watches and studs for some activities in school.
Not allowed – any other piercings or items of jewellery. Students will be asked to remove other jewellery, which will be kept safely in the main reception.

| Make Up | Students may wear discreet make-up.
Where makeup is considered overly noticeable, it is probably too much. Students will be asked to remove it appropriately.

| Nails | Nail varnish and false nails of any style are not allowed. Students will be asked to remove nail polish appropriately.

| Mobile Phones and Electronic Devices | Turned off and away.
There is no requirement for students to have a mobile phone.

Note: We do not accept any responsibility for any jewellery, personal items, mobile phones or electronic devices that are bought into school.
Jewellery items or mobile phones that are held for safe keeping will be kept in the main reception. These items can only be collected by an adult, at their convenience from the main reception.
Other Equipment
Daily Equipment

A large backpack or suitable bag to carry books and other equipment safely. A water bottle compartment is advised. Bags with some waterproofing are best, especially if your child has a long walk from home to school.

A labelled water bottle.

A see-through pencil case, with no marking or decorations, that will fit a 30cm ruler.

A 30cm ruler, with no hinges or folds, with markings in centimetres and millimetres.

A scientific calculator (preferably the Casio FX-83G or similar).

A protractor.

Some black and red biros.

Lead pencils and an eraser.

A small set of coloured pencils, pens, and a highlighter.
